Amazing, needs a fix

I freaking love this game, and keep coming back to it off and on over the years. However, on my iPhone 7 running iOS 10, the amazing soundtrack doesnt play at all. :(. Ill happily bump the rating back up to five stars if the music comes back. :)

Terrible gameplay

I do not recommend purchasing this game in its current version. More than half the time I have played the game, it stops responding to the taps required to rotate pieces and stops registering swipes after a couple of letters. When the game is malfunctioning, the graphics flicker in response to taps, rather than rotating pieces, so I can see that the tap registered. This game may or may not turn out to be fun, but I wont know until the bugs are fixed.

Almost a perfect game but has a bug

First off the game itself is AMAZING. Great graphics, sound, polish. The idea is also one of the most original Ive seen. Its fairly challenging to play switching between Tetris and scrabble mode which makes it a great exercise for my brain. The only reason I didnt give it 5/5 is because of one bug - after the game ends I cant enter my name. The default is "brosef" but I cant erase it. If I try to type sometimes it appends the letters to the end of the word, other time nothing happens, but I cant erase anything already on the screen. Maybe Im missing something? Otherwise a great game!

Too stressful!

The reason I play puzzle games is to relax. Yes, I read the "punch your brain" description, but I didnt realize that simply translated to mean "timer hell." Theres a reason many developers offer a "zen mode," and its because without one, people like me would never play games at all. This games zen mode removes the dropping blocks, but adds a countdown timer to the whole game. How "zen" is that? News flash: If puzzle gamers enjoyed that kind of stress, wed be platform gamers, too, but most are not, and this is why. We want to relax and think, not have something bombarding or pressuring us into action. Thats not excitement; its stress! Im disappointed, because I was looking forward to this game. My fault; I should have watched it online first. I hardly spent any time making words because I was too stressed over the falling blocks or timer. Bummer. -2 stars for not considering your audience. Why not remove the timer from zen mode so everyone can be happy?

Original but confusing

I think this game is cool and original. But its really hard to play. The pieces dont line up well. If u tap wrong you get messed up with the lining up. With the word thing u can make up one wordy but then cant use all the other letters... Any way! Too confusing, unlike Threes that was easy to understand and play...

Slow while loading & cant enter name

Slow while loading & cant enter name after playing

Great game but a little buggy

Cant enter own name and "shake to undo typing" would cause the program to crash at the name entry screen.

Great but a bit buggy

Its a great game but there are a few flaws. Like when I was playing it started to freeze a bit and also it wont let me type most of the time, I had to tap on the letters about five times each when trying to type my name.

Terrible controls

The gestures only work as advertised 60% of the time making a game that could be fun annoying.

Addictive

Addictive fun and ingenious gameplay combining Tetris and scrabble. Can induce stress in later stages lol.

Great game; needs fixes

After I purchased "THREES" I thought you folks could do no wrong. Presentation and innovative as threes Puzzlejuice on my iPad mini has problems, minor and major. Minor: the default name cannot be changed . The keyboard comes up. The letters work but backspace to erase the default name doesnt. Like in Tetris, there should be the option to not have the ghost pieces. Major: The left-right control is way to sensitive, making the piece land exactly where I DONT want it at the last moment. Finally, every so often, maybe one out of 20 times but happens every game, the tap to rotate piece doesnt work at all, causing me to strike my innocent iPad mini. An update addressing these issues would be most appreciated and will get a new review with 5 stars. Thank you

Buggy buggy buggy

Interesting idea marred by numerous bugs. Pieces dont rotate most of the time. They dont slide left and right half the time. Groups dont change to letters when you tap them. Cant add your name after a game. Backspace rarely works. This game should never gave been released in this state. Btw, Im trying to play on an iPad 4.

Great, With Some Problems...

Puzzlejuice is a fun, challenging game, but occasionally unresponsive input and an unresponsive name entry interface really hurt what would be an amazing game. Its really hard to plan moves when rotate taps are ignored, or a hard drop becomes a couple square descent due to the input system.

Entertaining

I can play this game for hours. You should really get it.

Clever game, buggy interface

Nice and original idea. As others noted, the screen where you enter your name is irritating. I can get it to work if I tap the keys hundreds of times. The rage quit button also feels like it is in the wrong place. I have hit it several times by accident, just trying yo exit the pause menu.

Interesting, if flawed, game

Threes was perfect. This game takes the world of Threes and adds Tetris. Then, it adds words. Then it adds power ups. More isnt always better. The elements all feel good on their own, but sloppy controls make for some frustrating failures. Swipes can grab letters or slam pieces down by mistake. Also, its just not fun on the iphone. The letters are too small to accurately spell words. I dont even have beefy fingers. I have delicate little spaghetti-like digits. This is the first app that made me feel like I was slapping sausages at my screen. Also, you cant write your name for high scores. But, thats obvious. Update: Played the iPad version. It’s worse. The controls are even sloppier. Mistakes I make against a fair challenge make a game fun. Block slamming when I mean to move them and vice versa just makes a game not fun to play.

Cant play until they fix rotating problem

Its a fun game, although it lacks the slickness and polish of their other game, Threes. However, there appears to be a bug for me where some blocks wont rotate, which becomes extremely aggravating, and renders the game fairly unplayable when things start moving faster. Wont try to play again until I see an update with a fix for that.

Fun game but a couple frustrations

Way too many "words that arent words" which takes the fun out of it as it turns into just random dragging around to see what turns yellow. Ive had numerous "words" that when I double-tap in the pause screen bring up "no definition found." Probably because theyre not words. Also, slamming down doesnt always work. Sometimes it goes straight down, other times it moves over and ends up where I dont want it. Oh well. Back to Threes.

Needs a major fix

This could be a cool game if you could actually rotate the pieces. Rarely does a tap turn a piece. Makes the game worthless. So frustrating. Have deleted it already.

Needs work - lots of it!

Although its fun to play, theres too much time wasted staring at the grey PUZZLEJUICE brag screens between games. Also, having to swipe the name of the game you want to play gets really annoying after 10 seconds. The rotation needs to be a button - its too easy to tap fallen blocks, especially as fallen blocks build up youre struggling to make words. Also, I cant enter my name in the high score - it wont accept anything typed in from the keyboard. If they spent as much time working on the game play as they did trying to make a cutesy interface, it would be a five star game. As it stands now Im not going to play anymore until it gets some bug fixes - the flaws are just too annoying.
